It works with a mission to enable Karnali people to claim and exercise their rights for poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resources mobilization. It has been implementing various project/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

KIRDARC is an NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance with especial focus on building capacities of right holders, duty bearers and civil society contributing to inclusive growth and fair development. It works with a vision of ‘a just and prosperous society’.

KIRDARC has been implementing a project “SAAMARTHYA: Advancing to prosperous, Resilient and Socially Cohesive Society” in Sarkegad Rural Municipality of Humla district in partnership with Mission East. In this regard, KIRDARC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full time position:

1. Project Officer – 1 (Based in Sarkegad Rural Municipality)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to implement the project in partnership with Mission East to produce quality results working in close coordination with funding partners, CSOs, government line agencies and other sector stakeholders. S/he will be responsible to lead role for the implementation of the project at field level with ensuring the quality of the project interventions in line with work plan. Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Environment science or Sociology/ Education with experience in climate change/ DRR/ environment sector. The candidates should have at least 3 years professional experience in thematic development sector. S/he must demonstrate excellent leadership, team management, result based management skills with proven experience of working in participatory community development approaches.

2. Finance and Admin. Assistant – 1 (Based in Sarkegad Rural Municipality)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to maintain the books of account of the project implementing by KIRDARC Sarkegad Office. S/he will be responsible for financial management of the projects in supervision of Finance and Admin Officer based in Simikot and immediate supervisor Project Coordinator. Required Qualifications and Experience: Intermediate or +2 education in Management subject with 6 years experience or Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or any relevant subject with 2 years experience in accounting field. Experience of working in similar geographical area in similar organizations is preferred.
