Role SummaryBanknbox is seeking a Senior Functional Mifos Specialist / Business Analyst to act as the critical link between business needs and the technical implementation of our core banking platform. You will play a key role in translating complex banking and fintech requirements into scalable, compliant, and high-performing configurations within the Mifos X / Apache Fineract ecosystem.This role requires strong functional expertise, deep understanding of financial systems, and hands-on experience in configuring and optimizing core banking solutions.Key Responsibilities• Lead workshops with stakeholders and clients to gather and refine business requirements• Produce detailed Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Business Requirement Documents (BRD)• Analyze and map “As-Is” and “To-Be” processes to support system transformation• Configure and manage financial products (Loans, Savings, Deposits, Shares) within Mifos/Fineract• Maintain and optimize the Chart of Accounts (COA) with accurate GL mappings• Configure system settings including office structure, roles, and Maker-Checker workflows• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards (e.g., PCI-DSS)• Oversee double-entry accounting logic and ensure financial data integrity• Design, validate, and analyze financial reports (Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Portfolio-at-Risk)• Lead UAT cycles and ensure successful delivery of functional requirements• Collaborate with technical teams to validate custom developments• Identify and resolve functional issues, providing root-cause analysisTechnical & Professional Requirements• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Mifos X or Apache Fineract (Senior-level exposure required)• Strong experience in Fintech, Microfinance, or Retail Banking environments• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and banking operations• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and basic SQL• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or IT• Strong communication skills to bridge business and technical teams• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in financial configurations and calculationsHow to ApplySend your CV to: [email protected]
