Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN) is a Nepalese non-governmental development organization working in the areas of community development, livelihood, governanace, human rights and social justice, having strategic focus on protecting and promoting economic, social and cultural rights and right to development. RRN also work extensively on natural resource management, disaster management and climate change adaptation. Its major interventions are directed towards poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged groups in rural areas.
RRN is looking for competent candidates to fill in Water Sanitation and Hygiene-WASH officer for Water Sanitation and Hygiene promotion project funded by Welthungerhilfe/Viva Con Agua and being implemented by RRN in Chitwan district of Nepal
Main Responsibilities:
- Support for WASH programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation (with at least 60% travel in the field)
- Take Lead on WASH promotions with focus on Behavior Change Approach and design and implement training program
- Coordination with local government, Networking and Advocacy
Qualification & Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Science, Engineering, Development Studies or relevant discipline with at least three years of relevant experience in water sanitation and hygiene promotion.
- Good understanding of WASH governance, Menstrual Hygiene Management, community led total sanitation and total sanitation approaches
- Ability to analyse a situation, synthesize information and use the outputs to improve implementation and good coordination
- Ability to work in diverse environment
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and negotiation skills
- Well versed in English and Nepali languages and have good knowledge of computer skills with general software such as Microsoft Office
Work Stations
WASH officer will be based in Chitwan district office with more than 60% time to project area (Icchakamana rural municipality, Kalika Municipality and Bharatpur municipality-29)
