May 17, Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed that a second person has died of corona virus (Covid-19) in Nepal. At the same time, the death toll from Korana in Nepal has reached two.
A 25-year-old man from the quarantine of Dipendra Secondary School, Bhoj Bhagwanpur in Narainapur of Banke district has died due to corona infection.
The deceased had come to Nepal from India on April 12.
He had respiratory problems while in quarantine. He died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday.
The locals claim that the driver refused to take him to the hospital even though he informed the local ambulance. And, they are angry that he died due to lack of treatment.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Vikas Devkota, the report of the swab test of the deceased has been positive.
On Saturday alone, the first death was confirmed in Nepal due to corona virus infection. A 29-year-old pregnant woman of Sindhupalchowk died on Thursday.
The ministry announced on Saturday that he had died of corona infection.
