Government’s decision not to take SEE exam this year – No SEE Examination in Nepal This Year

There will be no Secondary Education Examination (SEE) this year. A meeting of the cabinet held on Wednesday evening decided to determine the grade based on the interim evaluation of the school.

The task force formed by the Ministry of Education had given the option of conducting internal assessment, taking exams at the state level or amending the existing law to take national level SEE exams only in class 12.

However, immediate examination is not possible as quarantine sites have been set up in public schools. A minister said the SEE exams were held this year, taking into account the impact of the long-term bandh on students and the growing risk of corona infection.

According to him, the schools will now send the number of interim assessment and on the basis of that, the examination board will determine the grade and make the result public.

The SEE exam was scheduled to be held on Chaitra 6 But at the last moment, on the evening of Chitra 5, the High Level Coordinating Committee on Covid-19 had decided to postpone it.

Four lakh 82 thousand 219 students had applied for the examination and one thousand 995 examination centers were fixed.

The class 12 examination scheduled to be held from Chaitra 8 and the class 11 examination scheduled to be held from Chaitra 25  was also postponed due to the bandh. University exams have also been postponed. No decision has been taken yet.
