Initiated with prison programs, SETU Nepal supports people living with HIV & AIDS (PLWHA) in—Entrepreneurial skill development, Business start-up seed money, Psychosocial counselling, and Healthcare support. Education support programs for infected and affected children and providing a quality nurturing for the residential kids in the transit home remains a vital part of our program. In addition, it build capacities through targeted initiatives on assets-based livelihoods and climate change adaptation, supports women’s economic empowerment that aims to promote independent, decent and dignified life for our targeted beneficiaries in Nepal. SETU Nepal gives best inputs to further widen our arena in all these thematic focused areas. SETU is seeking an experienced and self-motivated candidate in the position of “Admin and Finance Officer (Intern)”.

Purpose of the Role

The Admin and Finance Officer (intern) will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day task management within the organization. This role requires multitasking across a range of responsibilities, including scheduling, handling payroll and accounting activities, receiving and forwarding communications, and taking care of other general duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

  • Establish and maintain day to day financial accounts and financial management
  • Oversees daily support activities for Arati Children Home
  • Support management team to Identify key areas of improvement, plan administrative processes, establish guidelines, and its effective implementation
  • Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
  • Ensure functionality of necessary office equipment, and requisitioning new equipment and supplies as needed
  • Prepare clear accurate financial information with sufficient documents
  • Implementation of the compliance of the government, funding partners and the organization
  • Manage procurement related responsibilities
  • Handle multi-project accounts
  • Support day to day logistic and administration
  • Financial reporting, analysis, monitoring and follow up of project activities
  • Support to prepare project specific budgets
  • Maintain safety, security of the project assets, stock, and keep records of personal files, tax, Social Security Fund and other salary related information of the respective project
  • Create reports and memos as needed
  • Offer assistance in organizing events, including ordering materials and requisitioning event spaces
  • Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
  • Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the organization’s internal capacity

Academic qualification/skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in management, business administration, or related field
  • Proficient in word processing, excel, spreadsheets, Accounting Software and Presentation skills
  • Strong skills in budget development and oversight
  • Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong commitment to team work with effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Aptitude for learning new applications/approaches/methodologies
