Position Overview

The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the safe and effective operation of medical equipment and biomedical systems. The role involves equipment installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, technical evaluation, vendor coordination, and compliance with applicable healthcare and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medical equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

• Respond promptly to customer service calls and ensure minimum equipment downtime.

• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation.

• Review tender technical specifications and prepare compliance/variance reports.

• Provide technical support to the sales team during product demonstrations and tender evaluations.

• Conduct user training on the operation and basic maintenance of medical equipment.

• Coordinate with manufacturers for technical support, warranty claims, and complex repairs.

• Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics/Electrical Engineering with relevant biomedical equipment experience.

• Minimum2yearsofexperience in servicing medical equipment (experience with ICU, OT, or diagnostic equipment is preferred).

• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.

• Willingness to travel extensively across Nepal.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and perform under pressure.
