Job Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mart, ensuring smooth store functioning, efficient inventory management, excellent customer service, staff productivity, and achievement of sales and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily mart operations and ensure smooth store functioning.

• Monitor sales, revenue, expenses, and operational performance.

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.

• Manage inventory, stock replenishment, stock rotation, and minimize wastage and stock losses.

• Coordinate purchasing, receiving, storage, pricing, merchandising, and product availability.

• Ensure proper display, cleanliness, product labeling, and store presentation.

• Monitor cash handling, billing, POS operations, and daily cash reconciliation.

• Supervise, motivate, and evaluate mart staff and prepare duty rosters.

• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints professionally.

• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate with vendors for timely deliveries.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and applicable regulations.

• Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and sales reports.

• Monitor operating costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

• Coordinate with management, finance, HR, procurement, and other departments.

• Conduct regular stock checks and support internal/external audits.

• Ensure proper security measures to minimize theft, damage, and inventory shrinkage.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field..

• Minimum 1–3years of experience in retail, supermarket, mart, or store operations.
