Job Description
Experience Required
More than 1 year
We are looking for a Video Editor and Content Producer who will take full responsibility for turning a completed script and recorded narration into a finished, engaging and publication-ready video. This is not simply a technical video-editing role.
The selected person must be able to independently interpret the story, decide what the audience should see and hear at different points, develop visual cues, source or generate appropriate visuals, design the soundscape, control pacing and suspense, and produce the complete final video.
The scriptwriting and narration will be handled separately.
Key Responsibilities
Receive the final script and recorded narration and convert them into a complete video.
Break the script into scenes and visual cues and decide what should appear on screen at each stage.
Source, generate or prepare suitable still images, AI visuals, stock footage, illustrations and other supporting assets.
Edit videos using CapCut, Canva, Adobe Pro and/or other appropriate editing software.
Synchronize visuals accurately with narration.
Add appropriate background music, ambience, sound effects, transitions, pauses, zooms, pans and subtle animation.
Manage pacing so that visuals, sound and scene changes maintain viewer engagement.
Clean and balance narration audio and ensure the voice remains clear over music and effects.
Create and maintain standard intro, outro, title cards, credits and branding.
Prepare subtitles/captions, titles, descriptions, chapters, end screens and other platform elements where required.
Plan, schedule and publish short promotional snippets/shorts across relevant social media platforms to increase reach and drive viewers to the full video.
Take responsibility for the finished product, rather than waiting for detailed instructions on every image, sound or editing decision.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate should have
Strong practical video-editing skills.
Experience with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro and/or similar software.
Excellent visual storytelling sense.
Ability to interpret scripts independently.
Strong understanding of pacing and audience retention.
Good sound-design judgement.
Ability to source or generate appropriate visual assets.
Familiarity with AI image/video tools.
Basic audio-cleaning and mixing knowledge.
Knowledge of Shorts, Reels, and TikTok formats.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the final product.
