Finance Officer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and verify transactions in Tally accounting software.
• Ensure all income and expenses are recorded correctly and consistently.
• Verify payment terms in contracts and ensure timely disbursement of payments.
• Authenticate all bills and maintain a payment schedule to manage accounts payable efficiently.
• Prepare books of accounts in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Reconcile all bank accounts and handle year-end closures, including provisions and the preparation of debit and credit notes.
• Ensure accurate accounting of TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) for all vendor and other payments.
• File TDS returns, VAT returns, and other statutory reports on time.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with vendors, banks, and third parties for relevant financial information.
• Manage petty cash, advance releases, and settlements.
• Generate various MIS (Management Information System) reports and financial forecasts as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Tally software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal's VAT and tax systems and related government policies.
• Knowledge of accounting standards (NFRS/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
