Job Description

NIDWAN is a national non-profit organization led by Indigenous women with disabilities, working to promote dignity, equality, and social justice for Indigenous women and girls with disabilities across Nepal. NIDWAN’s vision is a just, inclusive, and equitable society where Indigenous women including underrepresented groups with disabilities, fully enjoy their human rights and actively participate in all spheres of life. Its mission is to empower Indigenous and underrepresented groups with disabilities through advocacy, leadership development, access to inclusive services (including health and SRH), and strengthened institutional and community systems that uphold their rights. NIDWAN is guided by core values and principles of human rights, gender equality, disability inclusion, Indigenous peoples’ rights, participation and leadership of persons with disabilities with an intersectional approach, accountability, and partnership. Project Officer – SRH-4-AY project

Purpose of the Role

The SRHR Project Officer will lead the day-to-day planning, implementation, coordination, and reporting of the SRH4AY project. This position ensures that project activities align with national guidelines and donor requirements, especially GIZ, while achieving high-quality programmatic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Implementation

Prepare project implementation plan on monthly, quarterly and annual programme (including monitoring) plans in consultation with Chair of NIDWAN and National Advisor – SRHR and Social Protection

Ensure data collection and dissemination with all stakeholders and beneficiaries and use it in program planning, implementation and review process.

Contribute for instructional learning in assigned thematic and NIDWAN.

Build capacity for development of training curriculum, training modules, manuals and materials.

Involved and implement capacity building and institutional strengthening activities as per plan.

Coach, mentor, develop and advise field health Officer and front-line health staff of Municipality.

Support NIDWAN team to communicate with Funding agency (GIZ)

Required Qualifications & Experience

Individual with bachelor’s degree in public health or health care management and relevant subject having 3 years intensive working experience in the field of community health and SRHR projects in INGOs/NGOs or likeminded organization in Nepal.

HA/Staff Nurse/ANM/CMA with bachelor’s degree in social sciences and relevant subject having 5 years intensive working experience in the field of community health and SRHR projects in INGOs/NGOs or likeminded organization in Nepal.

Purpose of the Role

The SRHR Field Officer will be responsible for the direct field-level execution, community mobilization, and monitoring of project activities. This role bridges the organization and the targeted communities, ensuring grassroots engagement and field data management.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and Implementation

Support to implement field activities of SRH4AY project at Bijay Nagar Rural Municipality.

Coordinate with Health section staff of Bijay Nagar Rural Municipality and SRHR stakeholder of project catchments areas.

Coordinate with Health facilities and Basic Hospital of Bijay in

Collect local level SRHR related data and support NIDWAN project team to use in program planning, implementation and review process.

Support health staff, FCHVs and community stakeholders to develop conceptual clarity and skills of SRH through training and use of IEC/SBCC materials, guideline and reading material related to SRH services.

Support NIDWAN team and consultants to implement SRH4AY project activities in stipulated time frame in Bijay Nagar Municipality

Required Qualifications & Experience

Health Assistant/Staff Nurse pass and have 2 years of Intensive community health and SRHR experiences in INGOs/NGOs or relevant organizations.

ANM or CMA pass and have 4 years of Intensive community health and SRHR experiences in INGOs/NGOs or relevant organizations.

Purpose of the Role

The Admin & Finance Officer handles day-to-day accounting, financial compliance, logistics management, and overall administrative functionality of the project office to ensure transparency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the preparation of the monthly financial statements, Income & Expenditure Account, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules, for NIDWAN operations in Nepal together with expenditure analyses by programme and such other supplementary information as may be required by management for operational control or reporting to the donors.

Assisting as required with the preparation and compilation of periodic plans and annual budgets, including support to budget holders with financial data and collation of final plan and budget packages.

Assisting with the monitoring of expenditures against budgets and the investigation of significant variances.

OTHER DUTIES

To undertake such routine tasks as may be delegated from time to time by the MSSD, e.g., checking journal entries, ledger balancing, vetting and data input of accounts from Kathmandu and other offices, cash balancing, account reconciliations, etc.

Undertake or assist on audits of NIDWAN assets and operations as required.

Responsible for day-to-day operation of finance section including preparation of cheques, party- payment, advance disbursement and settling of financial transactions with the staff and service providers.

Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Chair of NIDWAN and Sr. Admin/Finance Officer.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business administration/studies (BBA/BBS), Commerce, or Finance/Accounting.

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, and general administration within an NGO/INGO setting.

High proficiency in using standard accounting software (e.g., Tally, FAMAS, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel.

Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
