Junior Accountant

Job Description

K.D. Shoes Industries is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, maintain financial records, handle AP/AR, process invoices, reconcile accounts, and assist in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, sales) to manage cost accounting and inventory records.
• Monitor production costs, raw material purchases, and expenses related to shoe manufacturing.
• Maintain organized accounting files and documents.

Job Specification

• Bachelor's degree in Management or a related field.
• Above 1.5 yrs of relevant accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
• Good understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of accounting software and computerized accounting systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
• Ability to prepare and maintain financial records and reports.
• Basic knowledge of VAT, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Understanding of inventory accounting and cost accounting.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
