Nepal Agricultural Services Development Programme, Prayas is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland and technical support from Helvetas Nepal. It invites application from interested and committed Nepali citizens for the following traineeship opportunity:
Position: Trainee (3 positions)
Project: Nepal Agricultural Services Development Programme, Prayas
Purpose: Provide professional work exposure to the fresh graduates by providing guided work opportunity from the senior staff of Prayas. Enhance their capacity by assisting to Local Government in legal/policy process and monitoring and knowledge management and have exposure in the field works.
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Agriculture, Rural Development, Communication or in related field with keen learning attitude, sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards multicultural environment. No prior job experience required.
Duration: 6 months (Subject to donor approval)
Duty station: Surkhet/Salyan/Jajarkot, Karnali Province with frequent travel to local levels
Remuneration and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal.
Each Trainee will acquire in-depth knowledge, skills and experience in one of the following areas:
- Facilitating/documenting legal/policy process and institutional mechanism;
- Documentation of case studies, good practices and learnings;
- Assist in conducting field surveys studies and piloting innovations at local level.
