United Nations Population Fund, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, is looking for the following qualified candidates for its Country Office in Kathmandu and Provinces in Nepal

1.

Family Planning Adviser (1 position) (Temporary Appointment- NOC), Job ID 17797 for 364 days (Kathmandu based), Deadline: Tuesday, 14 August 2018 by 5 pm Nepal time

Eligibility: Completed Advanced University Degree in Public Health or Medicine. At least five years of progressively responsible professional working experience in policy advocacy work and in managing health programmes, preferably with experience in sexual and reproductive health, family planning, supply chain management (SRH/FP/SCM); Current knowledge in decentralization of health system, of the federal context in Nepal, and of the latest developments in the field of SRH/FP/SCM is preferable; Good analytical skills and ability to interpret complex socio-cultural backgrounds as well as quickly obtain an overview of a variety of activities and approaches of national and international actors; Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, and team working skills and ability to establish harmonious working relations in an international and multicultural environment, both within and outside UNFPA.

Humanitarian Project Officer (1 position) (Temporary Appointment – NOB), Job ID 17672 for 364 days (Kathmandu based), Deadline: Tuesday, 14 August 2018 by 5 pm Nepal time

Eligibility: Completed Advanced University Degree in Public Health, Social Science or related field. At least two years of professional experience at the national and sub-national level in emergency preparedness and response; Good analytical skills and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, and team work skills and ability to establish harmonious relations in an international and multicultural environment, both within and outside UNFPA.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (1 position) (Temporary Appointment – NOB), Job ID 17699 for 364 days (Kathmandu based), Deadline: Tuesday, 14 August 2018 by 5 pm Nepal time

Eligibility: Completed Master’s Degree in Social Science, Economics, Public Health, Public Administration or related field. Up to 5 years’ experience in the area of results based management, monitoring and evaluation, statistics and/or research methodologies; Relevant computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office; Data analysis skills and familiarity with statistical software (i.e. SPSS, Stata); Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills; Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team; and flexible and open to learning and new experiences

Family Planning and Supply Chain Management Officer (3 positions) (Temporary Appointment – NOB), Job ID 17704 for 364 days (Janakpur, Butwal and Dhangadhi based), Deadline: Tuesday, 14 August 2018 by 5 pm Nepal time

Eligibility: Completed Advanced Degree in Public Health, Social Science, Procurement, Supply Chain Management and/or other related field. At least 2 years or more professional experience in planning, programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health programmes, preferably in the area of reproductive health and family planning; Solid technical knowledge and experience of supply chain management (procurement, forecasting, warehousing, distribution, logistics and e-LMIS), health systems strengthening and health financing preferred; Good analytical skills and ability to handle complexity and diverse local contexts as well as effective engagement with a range of stakeholders and programme interventions; Experience of working with Government and Non-Government partners at the national and sub-national level, with knowledge of decentralized health systems strengthening.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education Project Coordinator (1 position) (Fixed Term Appointment -NOB), Job ID 17745 (Kathmandu based), Deadline: Tuesday, 21 August 2018 by 5 pm Nepal time

Eligibility: Completed Advanced Degree in Public Health, Social Science or other related field. At least 2 years or more of progressively responsible professional experience in managing and coordinating projects preferably in the area of CSE, life-skills education, or adolescent health; Good analytical skills and ability to interpret complex socio-cultural backgrounds as well as quickly obtain an overview of a variety of activities and approaches of national and international actors; Experience of working with Government and Non-Government partners at the national and sub-national level, with current knowledge in decentralization of education system in the federal context and of the latest developments in the field of CSE is preferable; Excellent written skills and ability to elaborate reports, document and disseminate good practices and programme successes for further dissemination.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education Project Officer (1 position) (Fixed Term Appointment – NOA), Job ID 17741 (Kathmandu based), Deadline: Tuesday, 21 August 2018 by 5 pm Nepal time

Eligibility: Completed Advanced Degree in Public Health, Social Science or other related field. At least 2 years of professional experience in planning, programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the area of CSE and/or life-skills education; Good analytical skills and ability to interpret complex socio-cultural backgrounds as well as quickly obtain an overview of a variety of activities and approaches of national and international actors; Experience of working with Government and Non-Government partners at the national and local level, with current knowledge in decentralization of education system in the federal context and of the latest developments in the field of CSE is preferable; Excellent written skills and ability to elaborate reports, document and disseminate good practices and programme successes for further dissemination.
