Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Hostel Cook to prepare healthy, hygienic, and delicious meals for hostel residents and staff. The ideal candidate should be organized, responsible, and capable of maintaining high standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea/snacks on time.
Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and of consistent quality.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
Monitor food and kitchen supply inventory and report shortages.
Minimize food wastage through proper storage and planning.
Assist with meal serving and support during special events when required.
Requirements
Minimum SEE/SLC or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, hostel, cafeteria, catering service, or institutional kitchen.
Experience preparing meals for 20–50 people is preferred.
Vocational training in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Hotel Management is an advantage.
Skills Required
Nepali cuisine preparation
Basic Indian cooking (Continental cooking is a plus)
