Foundation for Development Management (FDM) is a development support organization mandated to provide research, training, and policy analysis services to the public, private and NGO sectors seeking expertise in different development fields. Since its inception in 2000, FDM has worked in collaboration with various national and international development agencies of Nepal and South Asia to provide management consultancy as per their requirement. It provides consulting services with commitment, contributing to the socio-economic development of the nation.
FDM hereby invites applications from highly qualified, motivated and experienced candidates for the following positions:
Position Title: Program Specialist
No. of Vacancy: 1
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Required Qualification and Experience:
• Masters degree preferably in Development Studies, Social Work, Economics,Sociology, Anthropology, or other related field
• At least 5 years of working experience in the field of development management or similar
• Willingness to travel for work in rural parts of the country
• Statistical knowledge/experience would be an added advantage
Competencies:
• Research skills, project proposal and concept note writing skills
• Knowledge and ability to use SPSS/STATA/SAS/R
• Sound Financial Management Skills
• Required knowledge on financial management skills, and budgeting
• Apply statistical theories and methods to solve practical problems in research
• Knowledge and work experience on contemporary development issues,working with donors and partner organizations
• Fluency in both English and Nepali
• Basic IT skills required especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and SPSS/R/STATA
