DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:
CWISH is a non-profit Human Rights Organization working to uphold the rights of children youth and women for almost three decades in Nepal. It aims advocating for the empowerment of children, women and marginalized communities and the protection and promotion of human rights. CWISH with the support of KNH Germany is implementing a project entitled “My Right My Future”. The project aims to ensure protection and participation right of the children through active engagement of civil society, enhanced agency of children and accountable government. The project intends to achieve this through mapping policy gaps, conducting evidence-based policy advocacy, promoting child-led advocacy, building alliance and networking and mobilizing the media.
CWISH is urgently looking for the following positions for the effective implementation of project activities for protecting and promoting the rights of children in Nepal. 1. Advocacy/ Campaign Coordinator-1 (Based in Kathmandu)
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Sociology / Social Work / Law/Development Studies or relevant area
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of program management, program coordination, experience of working with human rights/ child rights/ child protection, and good documentation and communication skill
- Sound and proven knowledge in project cycle management, results based management, logical framework, project documentation
- Able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English and Nepali Language.
- Sound knowledge in computer in handling all the office packages.
Job Description:
- Develop periodic plan of action and communicate with staff to implement overall advocacy/campaign activities under supervision of team leader, track the achievement of project and support advocacy officer to implement the project activities.
- Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the program in operation and report them to the program management.
- Responsible for project management, resource management, communication, advocacy and networking with the government and non-government stakeholders.
- Developing a project/advocacy plan, identifying goals and objectives of each activity, creating timelines, and coordinating advocacy activities.
- Coordinating and building relationships with key stakeholders such as government officials, civil society organizations, and the media.
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluation and reporting and documentation.
- Timely reporting and coordination with donor/stakeholders as required.
- Documentation of success stories and best practices during the project implementation.
- Conduct regular field visits as per need.
2. Advocacy and Communication Officer-1 (Based in Kathmandu)
Minimum Qualifications
- At least Bachelor Degree in Sociology/Social Work/Law/Communication/ Development Studies or relevant area
- Sound knowledge on Child Rights, child protection, child friendly local governance
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in non-government organizations
- Must be Fluent in English and Nepali (written and spoken)
- Sound and proven knowledge in project cycle management, results based management, logical framework, project documentation
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively and effectively as a part of team and capacity to collaborate with line agencies including municipalities.
- Sound knowledge in computer in handling all the office packages.
Job Description:
- Support the successful implementation of advocacy and campaign initiatives, and to ensure that project goals and objectives are achieved within the given timeframe and budget.
- Implementing the advocacy plan, ensuring that all advocacy actions/ campaigns are carried out according to the project timeline and budget.
- Responsible for documenting advocacy activities, maintaining project records, developing case stories and preparing project reports.
- Responsible for managing official social media pages of the campaigns.
- Prepare Monthly, Periodic, Quarterly and Annual Reports
