Earthquake in kathmandu – Earthquake in Nepal – 4.6-magnitude earthquake jolts Kathmandu Valley


Earthquake in Kathmandu has been felt today, 6 July 2019 , Nepali Standard Time 4 : 15 PM .

Further Details to the Earthquake is yet to be out, but it is advised to be very careful.

According to the official report,The Epicenter of the Earthquake is Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, with the Rector Scale of 4.6

Kathmandu has already faced the severe earthquake few years back in 2015.

It occurred at 11:56 Nepal Standard Time on 25 April 2015, with a magnitude of 7.8Mw or 8.1Ms and a maximum Mercalli Intensity of VIII (Severe). Its epicenter was east of Gorkha District at Barpak, Gorkha, and its hypocenter was at a depth of approximately 8.2 km (5.1 mi).

According to the National Seismological Center (NSC), the earthquake was recorded at 4:15 pm with epicenter in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.

It was an aftershock of the 2015 earthquake, NSC said.
